    Fundraising FAQs

If you don’t find the answer to your question here, please contact us at fundraising@mybraintrainer.com. We will reply promptly to all inquiries.

Who is MyBrainTrainer.com, and exactly what is it that you do?

MyBrainTrainer.com is a pioneer in the field of online brain exercise and training. We launched our website in October 2002 and have consistently received accolades from the media, our members, and many professionals in the fields of medicine and psychology. We were ranked as the #1 cognitive enhancement tool by Slate.com, and we have received favorable mentions in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Prevention Magazine, the Washington Post, USA Today and many other publications (see MBT in the News). Our program is suitable for individuals of all ages. We presently have members as young as 11 and as old as 80+. None of our exercises contain violence or violent images of any kind.

How does the MyBrainTrainer.com fundraising program work?

Our program has been designed to be extremely attractive to the potential donor and as simple as possible for the fundraising organization. When dealing with the general public, we charge $29.95 for a one-year membership to MyBrainTrainer.com. This entitles the member to unlimited use of our brainbuilding exercises and all of our performance tracking tools. However, for Fundraising with MBT, we will provide annual memberships to your organization for just $10 each. We recommend that you sell these to your donors for $20 each. This means that the donor will receive a 33% discount from our regular membership price, and your organization will keep 50% of all funds collected.

What are the steps involved, from beginning to end?

    1. The first thing to do is download the Excel spreadsheet that will serve as your registration form.
    2. As your donors sign up for the program, enter their names and email addresses in the spaces provided.
    3. When your campaign is complete, email your spreadsheet to fundraising@mybraintrainer.com.
    4. We will compute the amount owed, and will email back to you an invoice. You may pay either by check or by credit card.
    5. If you pay by credit card, we will immediately send Welcome emails and activation codes to everyone for whom a membership has been purchased. If you pay by check, we will send the Welcome emails and activation codes as soon as your check has cleared.

What are the important points to emphasize when introducing this program to a potential donor?

In addition to providing financial support for your organization, a donor will receive a discounted one-year membership to a critically acclaimed website that:
    • can help you in the classroom, on the athletic field, in the boardroom, and behind the wheel of your car
    • enhances cognitive function with as little as 10 minutes of exercise per day
    • is appropriate for individuals 11 - 80+ years of age
    • contains many (35+) fun and challenging exercises (with new exercises being added regularly)
    • provides immediate feedback across a wide range of cognitive variables
    • allows you to compare your scores to all other members, members of your age, and members of your occupation

Is there a minimum number of memberships that we must purchase?

Yes. A minimum of 100 memberships must be purchased to receive the special pricing available with this program.

Are there any further price incentives?

Yes. If you purchase 250 - 499 memberships, you will receive a 5% discount from our already discounted price of $10, which means that your cost per membership will be only $9.50. If you purchase 500 - 999 memberships, you will receive a 10% discount, which means that your cost per membership will be only $9.00. If you purchase 1000 or more memberships, you will receive a 15% discount, which means that your cost per membership will be only $8.50.

Can we use this fundraising program if we are outside of the USA?

Yes. This program can be used anywhere in the world.

What do we do if we have questions during the course of our fundraiser?

Send an email to fundraising@mybraintrainer.com. We will respond promptly.
